As the Taurus Logistics Coordinator & Order Desk Specialist, you will be an instrumental player on the Taurus Team. Proper execution and streamlined fulfillment of Taurus orders is key to successfully providing a high level of service and satisfaction to our industry partners, that we both represent in the Canadian marketspace and provide unparalleled agronomic solutions to.

While product shipments are managed by Taurus’ Suppliers (Clients), Taurus’ Logistics Coordinator will be critical in executing and coordinating the following:

  • Entering & submitting orders to Suppliers (Clients) to be filled
  • Cross referencing reporting to ensure all parties have complete and relevant information
  • Working collaboratively with Customers, the Taurus Team, and Suppliers (clients) to schedule product shipments
  • Communicating with Taurus’ 3rd-party international brokerage company on international shipments
  • Diligently tracking shipments to provide regular and timely communications as product is initially shipped, en-route, and nearing end destinations
  • Inventory management for Canadian storage facilities
  • Go-to for all logistics inquiries from Taurus Suppliers (Clients), Customers, and the Team

Currently the full Taurus Team engages in order entry, with anticipation of moving toward an order desk model. This new process will see orders funneled primarily through two (2) key personnel within the Head Office Team, one of which would be the Order Desk Specialist.

  • #1 personnel for order entry in Tronia Systems’ agrē
  • Sending order confirmations to Taurus utilizing DocuSign
  • Order management & reporting, including the cross-system communications with SalesForce

Details:

  • Permanent Full-Time, with our core working hours being Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm
  • Though the Taurus Team currently is fully remote (home-based office), Central Alberta or Saskatoon locations are preferred. *Consideration for an in-office position may become available.
  • Travel will include a minimum of 2 full-team meetings per year (potentially out of province/country)

What You Bring

Skillset: Understanding of and training in Canadian agriculture – specifically crop production, rail & truck logistics experience, inventory management, customer service expertise, strong communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional attention to detail, adaptable, self-starter, self-motivated, engaged, team player.

Experience: Successful experience in logistics coordination or in supply change management: international rail logistics experience preferred, previous experience in the agriculture industry; understanding of crop inputs from a retailer/wholesaler perspective; previous administrative experience, including inventory management; previous utilization of Tronia Systems’ agrē, DocuSign, SalesForce would be considered an asset.
