Fertilizer efficiency is not only about how much nutrient is applied

What “better fertilizer use” should mean agronomically
The correct interpretation is not “use less fertilizer automatically.” It is “ask how efficiently the crop is using the nutrient supply already present.” Better nutrient assimilation can improve the value of the fertility program, but a biological does not manufacture phosphorus, potassium or sulphur and should not be used to justify an unsupported reduction in required nutrient supply.
The best way to evaluate the technology is with replicated field data, tissue or biomass measurements where appropriate, and a whole-program economic comparison.
