Why Nitrogen Needs Protection
- Volatilization occurs when urea is converted to ammonia gas and escapes into the atmosphere.
- Leaching can move nitrogen below the root zone.
- Denitrification can occur in saturated soils, resulting in nitrogen loss to the atmosphere.
How AXIA C62™ Works
AXIA C62™ combines two proven nitrogen stabilization technologies:
- NBPT (16%) inhibits the urease enzyme, slowing the conversion of urea to ammonia and reducing volatilization losses.
- DMPP (2%) inhibits nitrification, helping keep nitrogen in the ammonium form longer and reducing the risk of leaching and denitrification.
Together, these technologies provide dual-action protection that extends nitrogen availability and helps ensure more applied nitrogen remains accessible to crops when they need it most.
Key Features and Benefits
- Dual-action protection with NBPT + DMPP in one convenient product.
- Compatible with both urea and UAN fertilizer programs.
- Reduces ammonia volatilization losses from surface-applied nitrogen.
- Helps reduce nitrogen losses associated with leaching and denitrification.
- Extends nitrogen protection through the gap between application and crop uptake.
- Easy-to-use liquid formulation that blends cleanly with urea and UAN.
- Suitable for virtually any crop, soil type, or application timing.
- Improves nitrogen efficiency, helping support stronger fertilizer returns.

Application Guidelines
Application Rates
UAN: 1-2 L AXIA C62™ per 1,000 kg UAN solution.
Urea: 1.2-2.4 L AXIA C62™ per 1,000 kg urea.
Mixing Instructions
For UAN, fill the tank halfway, add the required amount of AXIA C62™, mix thoroughly, then add the remaining UAN while maintaining agitation.
For urea, blend AXIA C62™ thoroughly before adding other fertilizer materials. A drying agent may be added if the blend appears wet or sticky.
Maintain agitation during mixing and application to ensure consistent distribution throughout the fertilizer solution.
Best Practices
Treat fertilizer as close to application as practical and ensure thorough mixing for optimal nitrogen protection and product performance. This recommendation is editorial guidance; the label provides the official blending instructions.
