Most phosphorus never reaches the plant. CG P2X changes that.
Built on patented struvite chemistry, CG P2X releases phosphorus, magnesium, and nitrogen in direct response to organic acids from growing roots. The plant controls uptake — not the weather, not soil pH, not moisture.
The result: more of your phosphorus investment ends up in the crop, not locked in the soil. In 2025 Taurus field trials, CG P2X delivered an 89% agronomic success rate across 151 data points with an average 5% yield improvement over MAP.
Root-Activated. Not Water-Soluble.
Conventional phosphates like MAP dissolve on contact with water — immediate release, whether the plant is ready or not. In most soils, 60-80% of that phosphorus ties up with calcium, aluminum, or iron before roots ever reach it.
CG P2X is organic acid soluble. It only releases nutrients when crop roots actively exude organic acids during growth. This keeps phosphorus plant-available throughout the season, reduces tie-up, and minimizes runoff and leaching.
- 95% plant available — vs. 25% for MAP at soil pH 6.5–7.3
- 9% magnesium built into every granule (MAP delivers zero)
- Salt index of 7.7 — seed-safe (MAP is 26.7)
- Increased bacterial diversity and higher Haney Soil Health Scores vs. MAP
- Winner, Agronomics Category — Manitoba Ag Days Innovation Showcase 2026
2025 Field Trial Results
A pound is not a pound.
You do not get paid for the phosphate you apply. You get paid for the phosphate the plant can use. At an equal cost per acre, CG P2X put more available P in front of the crop, from half the applied phosphate.

Same spend. More phosphate the plant can reach.
Every product below was applied at the same $20.36 per acre. The difference is not what you buy. It is how much of it the crop can actually use in year one.
Available P, Year One
All treatments held at $20.36 / acreProduct cost basis: MAP $1120/t, Synchro $1490/t, CG P2X $1420/t, MES 15 $1150/t. Availability reflects year one release. Source: 2025 Taurus Phosphorus Source and Rate trials.
That efficiency shows up at the bin.
Across 160 observations, CG P2X averaged 10.9 bushels per acre more than MAP at the same cost per acre. Here is what that advantage is worth at 2025 prices.
Revenue per acre applies the trial average advantage of 10.9 bu/ac over MAP at each crop's 2025 price. Crop prices used: canola $15.20, soybeans $14.00, wheat (CWRS 1, 13.5) $7.25, peas (yellow) $7.00, blended average $10.86 per bushel.
The yield, with nothing hidden.
Averaged across the sites for each crop, benchmarked against MAP, with the untreated check left in view. Where the check ran high, the soil was doing the work. More on that below.
Canola
Why the same products behaved so differently.
The untreated check won on some fields and lost badly on others. That is not noise. It is the single most useful thing these trials taught us about where phosphate pays.
Phosphorus Responsive
Native soil P could not meet crop demand. The untreated check was the lowest performer by a wide margin.
Here, the ability to deliver available P translates straight to yield and profit. This is where superior phosphate technology becomes undeniable.
Biologically Active
High organic matter and intense biology supplied abundant native P. The untreated check was often the highest yielding treatment.
The job here is not feeding the crop. It is protecting the fertilizer investment from loss and building the soil for the long term.
| Field type | Conventional MAP | Advanced CG P2X |
|---|---|---|
| Phosphorus Responsive | Standard yield | +$30/acre ROI |
| Biologically Active | Risk of fixation and injury | Builds soil P bank |
MAP is a one trick pony. CG P2X is a multi faceted tool for strategic nutrient management. On responsive ground it delivers the highest immediate ROI. On biologically active ground it provides crop safety and builds P reserves for long term value.
Consistent across the board, and better for the soil.
Equal cost yield, vs grower standard
89% of comparisons matched or beat the grower standard at an equal investment per acre.
Enhancing soil health
CG P2X raised bacterial diversity and microbial activity for healthier soils and crops. Bars are directional from the 2023 to 2024 dataset.
Agronomics. Economics. Logistics.
Does it work
Root activated struvite that releases on plant demand and resists soil tie up.
- 95% plant available, vs 25% for MAP
- Top treatment on phosphorus responsive ground
- Builds soil P reserves and biology over time
Does it pay
The return on phosphate is recovery. More available P per dollar is more yield per dollar.
- +10.9 bu/ac over MAP at equal cost
- $118/acre average ROI over MAP
- 89% agronomic success vs grower standard
Is it easy
A drop in granular that fits the program and equipment you already run.
- Blends and spreads like standard dry fertilizer
- Half the applied P2O5 means less product to move
- No new pass, no new equipment
CG P2X is the efficient phosphate layer.
It does not work alone. It is the phosphate engine inside a system built to supply nutrients, deliver them efficiently, and make sure the plant can actually use them.
The right P
for every acre.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is CG P2X a biological product?
No. CG P2X is a mineral-based granular fertilizer. It does not contain living organisms. However, it works in harmony with soil biology and has been shown to support higher microbial diversity than MAP.
Is it seed-safe?
Yes. CG P2X has a salt index of 7.7, making it safe for seed-row placement. MAP has a salt index of 26.7, which carries a significantly higher risk of salt injury.
Can I reduce my phosphorus rate?
Yes. CG P2X delivers over twice the plant-available phosphorus compared to MAP. Many growers apply 30% fewer total pounds while maintaining or increasing yield. Our 2025 trials confirmed CG P2X matches or exceeds MAP at equal cost per acre.
Does it work in cold soils?
CG P2X activates based on root organic acid production, which occurs whenever the crop is actively growing. It is not dependent on soil temperature or moisture for dissolution.
What about the magnesium?
Every granule delivers 9% Mg — critical for chlorophyll production, enzyme function, and energy transfer. MAP delivers zero magnesium. This is additional nutrition at no extra pass.
Can I blend it with other fertilizers?
Yes. CG P2X blends with potash, granular urea, sulfur, and other dry products. Compatible with air seeders, planters, and broadcast spreaders.
