It is with great pleasure that Taurus Agricultural Marketing Inc., announces the finalization of a long-term exclusive distribution agreement with Ostara Nutrient Recovery Technologies Inc., for the sale and agronomic support of Crystal Green® and forthcoming technologies into Western Canada and Ontario.

Taurus has been fortunate to have been in business since 2001 bringing new technologies and advancements in crop production to progressive growers.   Over that time, we have earned the trust of the marketplace to be the conduit to ensure these advancements can have a positive economic benefit, while increasing efficiencies to offer a new level of sustainability.

We began working with Ostara approximately eighteen months ago to examine their Magnesium Phosphate technology, high-purity fertilizer granules made from recovered nutrients, and branded as Crystal Green.  We were intrigued not only from an agronomic perspective on how Crystal Green could have a positive impact on broad acre crop production, based on their extensive research on potatoes and sugar beets, but also the net benefit this phosphorus source could offer adjacent waterways by reducing the phosphorus load going into streams, rivers, lakes and oceans.

Over the last two growing seasons we have been very impressed with the exact science on how Crystal Green works and how it increases phosphorus uptake in plants and reduces leaching and runoff. This is achieved through Crystal Green’s Root Activated™ technology, which releases phosphorus only in response to organic acids produced by growing roots.

Today, it is more important than ever before to help connect our progressive growers to technologies that not only allow them to be more successful in crop production, but also help them to do it in a fashion that is better for their land, and the long-term sustainability of the earth.  We are happy to have found Crystal Green to satisfy the higher percentage of growers looking to engage at this level.
