Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 4, 2026

Taurus Agricultural Marketing Inc. (“Taurus”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through taurus.ag, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you sign up for our Taurus Insider newsletter, contact us, request product samples, order field signs, submit a soil or tissue sample, or use our agronomic tools, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, farm or business name, location, and your role (grower, retail, or industry).

Chat conversations. Questions you ask Taurus IQ, our website assistant, are recorded so we can answer accurately and improve the service. Please don’t share sensitive personal information in the chat.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies (including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use the site — pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type. Embedded videos from YouTube may also set cookies when played.

How we use it

We use personal information to respond to your inquiries, deliver the newsletter and updates you’ve asked for, process sample submissions and coordinate testing with our lab partner, provide agronomic recommendations, improve our website and tools, and comply with legal requirements. We send commercial electronic messages only with your consent, in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site and our programs — such as email marketing (Mailchimp), website hosting and security (Cloudflare), analytics (Google), our chat provider (Botpress), form services (Microsoft), and our laboratory partner (Corvian Labs) when you submit a sample. These providers may store data outside Canada (for example, in the United States) and are required to protect it. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect it.

Your choices and rights

You may unsubscribe from our emails at any time, disable cookies in your browser, and request access to or correction of the personal information we hold about you. To make a request or ask a question about this policy, contact us at [email protected] or 1-780-581-3024. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
