Polysulphate Premium

Polysulphate® Premium

Increases Yield - Improves Grain Quality - Saves on seed mortality

Polysulphate® Premium is derived from polyhalite, a naturally-occurring mineral, which contains elements essential to high-performance plant growth and functionK2Ca2Mg(SO4)4 • 2H2O

Polysulphate nutrient chard show sulfate, potassium, magnesium and calcium sulfate.

Benefits of Polysulphate:

  • Low Salt-Low salt index with no negative loss of seed compared to S and K in the seed row (tested up to 300 Ibs of product in the seed row).

Assume a 15-20% increase in seed survivability which could equate to $15/20 acre for canola.  Assume 100 Ibs of product an acre could work out to just over $30/acre for Polysulphate® Premium and we save more seed. It reduces the overall per acre cost dramatically. Even at $15/acre in seed saving cost, on 22 acres of Polysulphate® Premium applied at 100 Ibs/acre, that is $330 saved for every tonne of Polysulphate® Premium used.

  • Season long feeding of these essential nutrients for 60 days-

Better uptake to demand curves and better finishing of our core crops that need both S and K for filling grain and canola seeds.Assume increases in yield and better quality.

  • Storage- One bin, multiple products – better management of storage. More storage, less fills to fits today’s logistical needs. Bulk density is high (85 Ibs) as such one bin or one tank on a grain cart holds twice the tonnes.
  • No Nitrogen-

Which increases seed safety in seed row and allows alternative sources with higher N percentage to be used instead.

  • Only prilled potassium source in Western Canada

Most growers hate how KCL tears up their air seeder hoses.

  • Great handling product with low salt index and is not as hydroscopic as AMS and KCL.
  • Fits today’s market demands of sustainable solutions that make the soil better, crop production better, and increase in nutrient use efficiency which makes the environment better.
  • Organic Certified
Polysulphate® Premium is registered through OMRI as organic around the world but fits conventional growers just as well, meaning it fits growers for today and ten years from now.

VALUE CONTINUED – BEYOND COST PER LBS. OF NUTRIENT:

  • Efficiency on K and S will improve 25-35% with season long feeding over 60 days vs. all available up front and tie up by day 20.
  • Very low salt index will reduce stress on early plants making them healthier early, which allows them to pick up more nutrients and not delay maturity.
  • Higher plant stand counts in cereals which means more main stems.
  • Expect upside in yield with season long feeding of key nutrients that impact plant growth and filling.
  • Expect higher quality of grains with tight N:S ratios at grain filing and tight N:K ratios to transfer nutrients in the plant at filling.
  • Ca and Mg are secondary nutrients like Sulphur and are required in Ibs/bushel. We need 2 Ibs of Ca to make one bushel of canola.
  • Ca can act as a soft amendment and can tie up a salt when it releases the sulphate. Most all reclamation in the oil field uses calcium to reclaim lease sights.
  • Ca will help crops establish in marginally saline areas but not enough in the blend to correct a fully saline area.
  • We are thinking fertility or nutrition for feeding plants vs applying fertilizer, which plants don’t care for due to salt load.
  • Low N value which allows cheaper options and more flexibility on applying N as ammonia, or as trop dress etc.

It’s time to get round to using Polysulphate Premium

  • Uniform, robust spheres of natural, multi-nutrient fertilizer
  • Smooth surface protects from abrasion, humidity or damage
  • Spherical shape gives consistent flow rate
  • Consistent broad spread during application
  • Easily blended with other fertilizer materials
  • Attractive appearance in blends with other granulated fertilizer ingredients
