N – Nitrogen

Posted in:

Nitrogen is considered the most important macronutrient as it is the one plants absorb in the greatest quantity. Nitrogen contributes significantly to plant health, crop quality and yield – as it is essential to the development of protein. The main forms of nitrogen fertilizer are ammonium, ammonia, urea and UAN.

While nitrogen fertilizers have become highly commoditized, Taurus believes that there is still greater learning required to maximize the efficiency of this key nutrient. It is not what you put on, but what makes its way into the plant and then converted into a usable form for production of seeds and/ or quality components.
